Vicky Santana is a longtime Whittier resident, a mom, and a seasoned public servant who believes city government should work for the people it serves. Whittier has been her home for more than 30 years—the place where she raised her son, built her life, and became deeply rooted in the community.
Like many residents, Vicky has seen too many concerns go unanswered at City Hall. Neighbors want safer streets, reliable basic services, and leaders who listen and respond. That’s why she’s running for Whittier City Council—to bring experienced, accountable leadership that puts residents first and improves quality of life.
Vicky brings more than 20 years of public service experience across Los Angeles County, with senior roles in public safety, policy, risk management, and workforce leadership. She has managed large teams, overseen complex operations, and worked to reduce taxpayer costs while improving accountability and public safety—experience that prepares her to lead effectively from day one.
She also served 13 years as a Trustee for the Rio Hondo Community College District, where she helped expand educational access and supported tuition-free college programs for local students.
A graduate of Whittier College and Harvard University, Vicky’s story is grounded in Whittier, not prestige. She understands the realities facing working families, seniors, and small businesses because this is where she lives.
As a councilmember, Vicky Santana will focus on responsive constituent services, neighborhood safety, traffic and speeding concerns, clean parks, and thoughtful development that protects Whittier’s character.
